MihiMihi

Last week or two, Rimu class learnt how to create and say our Mihi in Māori. For our visual Mihimihi first we had to draw a self portrait or print out a photo of us. Then we had to draw or print out a picture of the mountains and rivers, after that is my favourite part where you get to draw or print out a picture of what is special to us. So finally you have to film or record your visual Mihimihi. This is a way of getting other people to know more about us. I found saying the Mihi the most challenging.

Here's the video hope you enjoy it!

Wellington Camp pt2

DAY3
That morning was really exciting I got up really early because we are going to Capital E and we've been preparing for the hole week before we came to Wellington. But first we went to The Great War which was a war place, where we smell some gas of what the soldier smelled. then we went to Capital E first we played some race car games and some killing games which I didn't really enjoy. But then we went to record our Wake Up New Zealand and I was drawing for the fiat cover on the show. After that we had subway for dinner which was really yummy. For a little exercise we went on the slide and all that at the park. Then we went to the rock climbing place but first we went roller skating and high fived people around which was really fun.

Here's the video of Wake Up New Zealand.

DAY 4
Today we went to Te Papa again to see the gallipoli place and it was a little bit boring but fun at the same time. But the first thing we did in the morning was climbing up the Mt Victoria. Some people got really tired when we got to the top. At the after noon we went to westpac stadium to explore around. For dinner we went to the food court and Chloe and I got Mcdonald's for tea. After dinner we walked to laserforce and played 2 games and at the spear time when we had to wait we went in to the gaming room when there was air hockey and racing cars.

DAY 5 last day :(
Today is our last day in wellington I'm sad and happy and the same time, All we did today was went to weta workshop and staying at the airport for nearly 6 hours. We weren't allowed to take photos in weta workshop which sucks but it was really cool seeing how they made the guns and all that.

My New Zealand Artist Gary Peters

Starting from last term Rimu has been studying New Zealand artists. And I picked Gary Peters because he had some really different artworks from the other artists. I think it's important to learn about New Zealand artist because we need to learn more about art because it good for our mind so we can be creative. I discovered that Gary Peters makes 3D art and wall art.  He also picks random colours and shapes to paint with.
